WEDDINGS.

BRIDGEMAN—WILSON. The wedding was celebrated in StJoseph's Church, Waipukurau, yesterday (as briefly reported in our columns) of Mr James Philip Bridgeman, well known and popular in Waipukurau, and Miss Olive Clarice Wilson, younger daughter of Mrs Wilson, of Gaistord Terrace, an old and esteemed local resident. The ceremony was perlormed by the Bev. Father O’Donnell. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Leslie De Clifford, was attired in an ivory satin frock, georgette scolloped overskirt, with crystal and pearl beads. She wore an embroidered veil, with pearl coronet ana orange blossoms, also a string of Duchess pearls, the present of the bridegroom, and silver shoes, with stockings to match. Miss Connie Burgess, wearing a dress of salmon pink crepe de chine /and cream tulle, her head-dress being similar, and silver shoes and stockings, was the bridesmaid. Mrs. F. Wilson, the bride’s mother, w-ore a frock of navy charme4ine, with fawn trimmings, and a navy hat, also fox furs, shoes and stockings being to tone.

Mrs A. E. Lockett, of Shannon, was the matron of honour. Her dress was of pale blue crepe de chine, and cream tulle, with a head-dress of similar material. Silver shoes and stockings were worn. Mr. Jack Reidy was best man, Mr Tom Geenty being the groomsman. The bride’s travelling costume was of bois de rose, with, champagne trimmings, and hat, shoes and stockings to tone. She wore a coneyseal fur coat. A reception was held at the Ruahine Tea Rooms. The bridesmaids were each presented with u pair of silver vases. CASSIDY—ROBERTSON. The marriage was celebrated in St. Andrew’s Church, Waipukurau, yesterday, of Miss Hazel Robertson, ot Waipukurau, to Mr. Clive Cassidy, of Waipukurau, and grandson of Mrs F. Cassidy and son of the late Mr and Mrs F. Cassidy, New Plymouth. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. C- McLean.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. H. Robertson, of Patetonga, was attired in a dress of dainty ivory georgette, beaded in silver. She wore a veil and coronet of pearls and orange blossoms, also silver shoes, and carried a beautiful bouquet of spring [lowers and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Maisie Robertson, sister of the bride, who wore a dainty trock of orchid crepe dechine with crinoline hat to tone and carried a bouquet of primula and maiden hair fern. Mr. VV. Prujean, of Waipukurau, carried out the duties of best man.

Tile guests were afterwards entertained at a reception at Wood’s Tea Room, where the usual toasts were honoured. The bride’s mother wore an ensemble suit of navy and carried a bouquet of violets. The grandmother of the bridegroom also wore navy. The presents were costly and numerous-

The bride’s travelling dress was of navy repp with shoes and hat of bois de rose. The honeymoon is to be spent in the South, the happy couple leaving by car. Their future home will be in Waipukurau. Mr. Cassidy is kell-knoivn as a member of the Waipukurau Football Club’s senior team.
