ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Per Press Association. While crossing a street in Dunedin last night, Christina Donaldson, a middle aged woman, was knocked down by a taxi driven by William McKnight. She is at present in hospital Buffering from a scalp wound and injuries to the back and leg. Her injuries, as lar as is known at present, are not serious. On Monday afternoon last the intake of a septic tank at Lower Hutt became blocked. Au investigation by the engineer disclosed the fact that the blockage was caused by a female baby which doctors declared to have been stillborn. The Magistrate at an inquest held yesterday found the body was that of a stillborn child, born a few days prior to jlugust lii ,and that there was no evidence to show how the body came into the tank.
