Two months hence, on October 19th and 20th, the Hawke’s Bay A. & P. Society’s Spring Show will be held, and the time has now arrived to devote full attention to the intended exhibit. The objects of shows is to promote among the farming community an interest and desire to produce the best stock possible in the respective classes. The farmers have been educated that the improvement of their cattle and sheep by the purchasing of the best purebred stud animals is the only method of getting the best possible results from their holdings. The animal system uses salt in the body to make hydrochloric acid, which is used to digest the food, and as the digestion of food is a continuous process, it is necessary that animals must have a small amount of salt every day,
