In the Supreme Court at Napier yesterday. Kohepa Karaitiana Panapa, charged with a serious offence against a girl, was discharged with out punishment. Counsel stated that since the first hearing the parties had been married. The question of giving some assist ance to the Onakaka iron works has been raised in Parliament on numerous occasions by Messrs R. P. Hudson and H. Atmore. M.P.’s. During the Address-in-Replv debate it was stated by Mr Hudson that Australia had placed heavy tariff impositions against the entry of Onakaka ore into the Commonwealth. Despite the Customs embargo, however, Onakaka iron continues to find a ready market in Australia, for Messrs Hudson and Atmore have been advised thnt an order for 200 tons of ore has been received from there hv the Onakaka Company. 'I his news will give n oood deal of satisfaction to the Nelson province, in which the Onakaka works are situated.
