A series of petty offences involving thefts, false fire alarms, and damaging of public telephones, was preferred at the Palmerston North Police Court this morning against two youths, whose names were suppressed, and who, also have been committed to the Supreme Court. Theft was one of the major charges, and both ■ were ordered to Come up for sentence if called upon. The Magistrate, Mr. S. L. P. Free, remarked that no doubt both accused would be adequately dealt with by the Supremo Court when they appear for sentence on the major charges.—Press Assn.
