TEST TRIAL MATCH DRAWN.

LEYLAND’S FINE INNINGS. (Received 13, 11.30 a.m.) London, Aug. 12. The cricket test trial match was drawn. The weather was dull and the wicket soft, and the ‘ remaining wickets fell quickly. The Leyland-Shepherd partnership yielded 187 runs in 150 minutes. Leyland’s was a polished, all-round innings. Shepherd gave one chance at the wicket when 40, Jupp broke a finger while fielding and retired. Details:— ENGLAND. First Innings 383 Second Innings.
