QUEENSLAND SUGAR STRIKE
TROUBLE AT TOWNSVILLE. (Received 13, 10.40 a.m.) Brisbane, Aug. 13. The strike at the South Johnstone sugar mill continues. Some 80 tons of sugar was removed from the mill to Townsville by railwaymen but on arrival at the wharf the labourers there refused to handle it and it will have to be taken to Brisbane by rail.
