BOARD OF TRADE RETURNS.
BRITISH IMPORTS A EXPORTS. (Received 13, 9.15 a.m.) London, Aug. 12. Board of Trade returns lor July disclose a decrease of £6,920,000 in the value ol imports compared with the previous July, and £1,143,000 in exports. Re-exports of foreign and colonial products have increased by £233,000. The principal decreases were in imports of coal, £4,105,000, raw cotton £2,079,000, oil-seeds £1,026,000; and in exports, cotton yarns and manufactures £2,385,000. The chief increases were, in imports, wood and timber £2,313,000, and in exports, coal £3,592,000 and iron and steel and manufactures thereof, £1,5'32,000.—(A. and NZ.)
