CLIVE.
KOHUPATAKI ANUUAL BALL Over 200 couples crowded the Clive Hall last evening, when a most enjoyable and successful ball was staged by the Kohupatiki committee. The proceeds are to lie presented to the church funds, and it is anticipated that something in the vicinity cf £4O will be handed over. The patrons expressed their appreciation in no uncertain tones as to the manner in which the committee had decorated the hall The walls of the building were . adorned with greenery and Maori carvings, while streamers gave the scene a carnival aspect Visitors came from Napier. Hastings and the surrounding district and one and al] enjoyed themselves. The Moteo Orchestra supplied the music, while Mr J. Nikera acted as M.C. The committee, aided considerably bv the ladies, provided a tasty sit-down supper.
