GREAT DEMAND FOR SEATS. The box plan for the new J. C. Williamson Celebrity Vaudeville Company playing for one night in the Hastings Municipal Theatre on Tuesday next is filling rapidly at Fail’s, and Hastings residents who are desirous of seeing the greatest galaxy of stars ever brought to New Zealand are advised to book immediately. Joseph Belmont’s Canary Opera comes direct from Ziegfeld Follies Sensations, and is the greatest novelty of its kind in the world. Not onlv has Belmont trained some 20 or 30 little songsters to sing when told, but they follow, note for note, voice and instrumental music. A triumphant act is “The Flower Vendor.” presented by the famous American character actor. Phil Rich and his beautiful partner. Alyce Adair, a former “Miss Chicago.” A beautiful dancing act is that of Los Zenga Juenes. the renowned French dancers, direct from Paris, who present “something different in dancing.” “A girl, n harp, a voice.” is Mnrie Lawton. Here is a charming musical act that will appeal to all. Colin Crane, eminent baritone, possesses a voice of a quality rarely heard in vaudeville, and the Lee Sisters. “Up in the Air.” both delight and thrill. The Mighty Valencia is a Spanish trapeze artist, whose daring and risky fonts on the flying trapeze are the most hair-raising imaginable, Last but not least is the popular favourite.
