Carnival in the shape of half a dozen young men waited at the New Plymouth station on Tuesday night to meet the mail train- They arrived in a motor car. One was disguised more or less as a cowboy and the plus fours and bag of sticks affected by an other made if him quite a passable golfer. A third was conspicuous because of a dress suit, bun hat and horn-rimmed spectacles, and the rest of the company were equally distinctive in appearance. As a traveller stepped off the platform the merrymakers presented him with a bouquet and a considerable amount of confetti was thrown. It was said he was returning from his fourth honeymoon. Toothache banished by Barraclough’s Magic Nervine. 1/6.
