CELEBRITY VAUDEVILLE.
PLAN OPENS TO-MORROW
The box plan for the new J. C. Williamson Celebrity Vaudeville Company playing for one night at the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, on Tuesday next, will open to-morrow morning at Faifis. The combination conies direct from record-breaking seasons throughout the North Island and has been hailed as the greatest galazy of stars ever brought to the Dominion. Heading the bill is that famous comedian, Dick Henderson, known through the world as “the nmn who made the Queen laugh.” He has had the honour of two command performances and is without doubt the funniest comedian ever seen here. The greatest novelty among the acts —indeed, the greatest novelty of its kind in the world—is Belmont’s Canary Opera, direct from Ziegfeld Follies. This is the only feathered opera coming in existence, and to actually believe that Belmont has trained his little songsters to imitate a complete opera, this act must be seen in its entirety- Rich and Adair, the American favourites, will present their wonderful novelty, “The Flower Vendor,” and Les. Zenga Freres have a beautiful Parisian dancing act. Valencia is a Spanish daredevil on the flying trapeze, and Marie Lawton is the charming artiste with the harp and the voice. The Lee Sisters, known everywhere as “the aerial girls,” delight and thrill, and Colin Crane, eminent baritone, possesses a voice of a quality rarely heard in vaudeville. Stella Lamonde, the vivacious souhrette, has an act that is just one series of sparkling moments. The prices will be popular ones at 6s. 4s, and 2s.
