ANNUAL CONFERENCE REMITS CARRIED. Palmerston North, August 10. The annual conference of the New Zealand Auto-cycle Union was held here to-day. delegates being present from the twelve affiliated clubs. Affiliation was granted to the Auckland Sports Motor Club, The New Zealand championshins were allocated: for the coming v eilr as follow : —Light-weight, Wanganui; middle. Foxton; heavy. Gisborne. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr W. Spragg (Hawera): vice-presidents, Messrs C. Allan (New Plymuth), H B. Burrell (Feeding). J. C. Kay (Auckland); treasurer. Mr K, Fowler (Marton); secretary. Mr A. Wav (Marton); auditor, Mr F. Hatljgjley (Marton): executive. Messrs H. B. Burrell. B. Palmer (Manawatu). and the chairman.

A remit was carried that the benevolent fund should cover riders from the time, they leave the birdcage prim to doing the preliminary until after the raee. A remit was also carried that doctor’s. hospital and masseur’ expenses be paid when ordered by medical practitioners and certified.

The rule regarding the size and shape of number-plates was altered. Plates must have eicht-inch white figures on a hlack background, and be rectangular instead of circular. Riders must also wear numbers <»n tbeir backs.
