H.B. RADIO SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Hawke's Bay Radio Society (incorp.) was held on Monday night, tho Rev F. A. Bennett presiding over a good attendance of members. The election of officers for the en suing year resulted as follows:—President, Rev. F. A. Bennett; vicepresidents, Messrs J. H. Scott and A. E, Duff; treasurer, Mr J. Stickland; auditor, Mr R. D. Brown; secretary, Mr E. H. Culver; executive, Messrs A. S. Tonkin, F. Mardon S. 0. Rusbatch, A. E. O’Meara, ’E. T. Gifford. Lt was decided to make arrangements for the immediate issue of debentures for tho raising of funds for the proposed station in Hastings, the secretary reporting that about £4l was now in hand for the fund. Finance, station, interference and entertainment committees were set up so as to have everything in readiness for the opening of the station, which the president remarked should be an accomplished fact in about two months. It was decided to hold future meet ings every third Friday the first to take place next week. Several matters of importance, such as license fees were referred to the committee.
