HASTINGS COURT.
(Before Mr. A. M. Mowlem. S.M.) BREACHES OF BY-LAWS. Alfred Stitt, charged with cycling after dark without a light, was fined 20/- and costs 10/-. John Waldie. charged with leaving a motor car standing in Eastbourne street after dark without lights, wrote saying that he left the car with lights and, when he came bacK he found that they had been extin guished.—His Worship said that defertdant should have kept his lights going; ft was his risk. Fined 10/and 10/- costs. William Hans Richardson, similarly charged, was fined £1 and costs 10/-. CIVIL CASES. Judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended cases:— Hastings Bakery Co. v. J. Crawford £5 19/3 and costs; J. Pickering v. B. Harris £l5 2/3. costs £2 14/-: Peters and Co. v. R. Watkins £6 19/6. costs 31/6; T. W. Tate v. E. Wilson £5 9/6. costs 30/6; H. W. McKain v. J Collins £1 0/6, costs 8/-; same v, C. Russ 17/6. costs 8/-; H G. Apsey and Co. v. A. Millar £4 10/6, costs 23/6.
