Mr. C. Hart, of the Exchange Hotel. Havelock North, left this morning for Te Aute, where he takes over the Te Aute Hotel. The hotel in Havelock North has been taken by Mr. A. H. Annan, of Napier.
Mr. A. L. James, assistant engineer to the Pa’tangata County Council, tendered his resignation at the monthly meeting of the Council held yesterday. The resignation was accepted with regret. Mr. James has accepted a position on the staff of the Wellington City Council.
A slight accident, affecting his left leg, was met with by Mr. H. E. Holland, M.P. (Leader of the Opposition) at Marlborough, over the week-end. Mr. Holland, who is now in Wellington, rested yesterday, and will probably resume his seat in the House of Representatives to-day.
