AUSTRALIAN SURFERS.
VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. PROPOSAL UNDER DISCUSSION. At a meeting of the Swimming Council in Christchurch a letter was received from the Surf and Life Saving Association stating that it had been decided to ask the council, in conjunction with the Royal Life Saving Society to consider tne advisability of inviting a vist from an /Yustralan surf and life-saving team next season. It was suggested that in addition to or competitions on the beaches the visitors should participate in swimming carnivals.
Some doubt was expressed as to the possibility of the visit being financially successful. Tt was decided to communicate w7h the Surf Association asking for more precise details.
