MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.
HYDRO-ELECTRIC SERVICE. 4 POWER BOARD TO SUPPLY. Reporting on the question of hydroelectric supply to tire Memorial Hospital in Hastings the secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Power Board at to day’s meeting stated that representatives of the Hawke’s Bay Hospital Board and the War Memorial Com mitee met representatives of the board to discuss means of ensuring continuity of supply. As a result of the interview the Pub lit Works Department were asked if they would approve of the hospital being supplied by tie Hastings bor ough. The Department had now intimated that it was not prepared to recom mend an extension of the borough license, and it was now necessary to formulate a scheme to reduce the interruptions to a minimum.
