DESTITUTE “STARS.”
HOME FOR AGED PLAYERS. BENEFIT FILM TO RAISE FUNDS. (Received 13, 9.30 a.m.; Washington, July 12. Th© newly organised Academy of Motion Pictures and Arts at Hollywood contemplates the production of a three-reel film in which many stars will participate, and the proceeds from which will constitute a relief fund for the purpose of the erection and endowment of a home for aged, destitute screen players. The academy hopes to raise 1,000,000 dollars with the picture. The cast will be chosen by lot, thereby removing any chance of professional jealousy.
