WEDNESDAY’S The performance of the team to meet the Canadians when they played the next best team on Saturday augurs well for their standard of play on Wednesday, and a good game should result. AVednesday’s game begins at 2.45 o’clock and is fully advertised in this issue. Moore than 1.1,000 people watched the third lest nt Wellington on Saturday, and the fact that the crow'd was a great increase on any previous crowd at any of the Canadian matches in New Zealand shows how greatly the visitor’s fine play has increased the popularity of the Soccer code so a big crowd should be at Nelson Park, Hastings to cheer on the local men. It is hoped that all Soccer supporters will be at the station to "reet the visitors when they arrive on the mail train to-morrow. A reception will be tendered to the Canadians at the Y.M.C.A. at 8 o’clock in the evening, when Soccer supporters are requested to be present.
