ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

(Press Press Association.) Daniel Fitzgerald, a single man of Islington, Christchurch, wsa found lying dead by thfe tramline near Bush Inn, Riccarton, at 1.30 o’clock yesterday morning. There was a bicycle near which showed signs of having been run over by a vehicle. William Sanders, a farmer, of Te Kowhai, has been missing since yesterday morning, and is believed to be drowned. He owned two farms on each side of the Waipa River, and lo ft home with the intention of visiting the one on the other side. He instructed his son to follow later. When the latter reached the river he found his father’s horse tide up, and his coat and bag on the riverside. A ferry punt was missing. The police are dragging the stream. Sanders has a family of six, the eldest being 16 years old. Donald Musson, aged five, was taken to the Dunedin Hospital suffering frohi severe scalds through falling into a bath of hot water.
