HASTINGS BOROUGH COUNCIL. RATES 1927/28. IVOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that 1 ' the Hastings Borough Council will at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council, to be held in the Council Chambers, Hastings Street, Hastings, at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, the 28th day of July, 1927, make and levy the following rates on all rateable values (on the basis of the unimproved value) appearing in the Valuation Roll of the Borough for the year commencing the Ist day of April, 1927, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1928, viz.:— (1) A GENERAL RATE for the general purposes of the Borough of Two Pence in the £, to be made and levied under Section 77 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920” 2d «) A LIBRARY RATE of Three Twenty-fifths of a Penny in the £, to be made and levied under Section 91 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920” 3/25d (3) SPECIAL RATES, being portions of annually recurring rates, to be made and levied under the authority of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” “The New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Act 1909, “The Hastings Borough Loan Empowering Act, 1910, “The Hospital and ’’Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” Section 114 of “The Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1919,” Section 34 of “The Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1920,” and Section 6 of “The Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921,” to provide the interest and sinking funds payable on the undermentioned loans, such portions being payable as un • der:— (a) On the Drainage Renewal Loan of £20,000, 1912, Seventeen One Hundredths of a Penny in the £ 17/100d (b) On £45,000, being the Footpaths, Channelling, and Drainage portions of the £85,000 Loan, 1910, Thirty-seven One Hundredths of a Penny in the £ 37/100d (o) On £4OOO, being part of ten per cent additional of £15,000 and ten per cent additional of £30,000 respectively of the Footpaths, Channelling and Drainage portions of the £85,000 Loan, 1910, OneTwentieth of a Penny in the £ l/20d (d) On £5OO, being part per cent, additional on the Footpaths and Channelling , portions of the £85,000 Loan, 1910, One Hundredth of a Penny in the £ l/100d (e) On the £ll3O Hospital Loan, 1913, One Hundredth of a Penny in the £ -v,- l/100d (f) Io provide interest on £46,889 of the £68,250 Streets, Etc., Lian, 1914, Niue Twentieths of a Penny in a £ 9/20d (g) On £4583, portion of £13,600 Sewer and Water Loan, 1916, Two Twentyfifths of a penny in the £ 2/25d (h) On £ll,OOO Station Street Extension Loan, - 1920, Eleven Hundredths of a Penny in the £ 11/100d (I) On £5BOO Nelson Cricket Ground Purchase Loan, 1921, Seven Hundredths of a Penny in the £ 7/100d (j> On £1360, being ten l>er cent, additional on the £13,600 Sewer and Water Loan, 1916, One Fiftieth of a Penny in the £ l/50d (k) On £5OOO, being part ten per cent, additional on £68,250 Streets, Etc., Loan. 1914, One Twentieth of a Penny in the £ l/20d (l) On £&8.O82, Antecedent Liability Loan, 1922, Nineteen-fiftieths of a Penny in the £ 19/50d (m) On £lBOO, Supper Room Loan, 1924, Tliree One Hundredths of a Penny in the £ 3/100d (n) On £49,000 Streets, Etc., Loan, 1924, Threefifths of a Penny m the £ 3/5d
