- —- MANCHESTER UNITY FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hastings Lodge, M.U..0.F, was held on Thursday last. Bro. L. C. Farglier, N.G., presiding. The loyal Forest Home ledge, Ornrondville, forwarded an invitation to a special meeting on July 15. when they will initiate their first iadv members. An invitation from the Takapau Lodge for the annual ball on August 10 was also accepted. Bro. L. Matthews, who is leaving for Wairoa, was granted a letter of recommendation. The DruiUs intimated that they would accept the challenge from the lodge for a friendly euchre match on Tuesday next, to be played at the Oddfellows' Hall. The financial secretary, Bro. P J. S. George, presented the half-yearly statement of accounts which showed the various funds of the lodge to be in a sound position. The liabilities are as follows .—Sick fund cr. £9,359 11/4: members’ surplus funds. No. 1 cr. £896 s’-; No. 2 cr. £1,378 11/4; No. 3 cr. £1,576 7/8; benevolent fund or. £42 18/6; 'M.A.F cr. £227 5/9; other lodges account cr £7 0/10; interest account cr. £519 17/10.
