NAPIER THIRTY THOUSAND CLUB.
NOTARIELLO CONCERT. The Napier Thirty Thousand Club, ever on the look out for an opportunity to give the public of Napier something worth while, has been able to make arrangements with Signor Antonio Notariello, the famous Italian operatic tenor, and Lucien Cesarom, Mozartist and grand opera bass, to give a special concert in the Municipal Theatre on Saturday, January 8, in aid of the Women’s Rest. The assisting artists will be Miss Ina Thomson, contralto champion of the recent Auckland Competitions, Miss Winifred McCarthy, pianiste, recently returued from her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London, and Master Jack Shirley, violinist’. The accompansts ate Mcsdames Bromley Hill, S. Truda, and Miss Winifred McCarthy. Notwithstanding the magnificent programme to be submitted the prices, have been made within the reach of all, viz., reserves 4s, back stalls 2s 6d, and gallery Is, the tax being paid by the promoters. The box plan opens to-morrow, Wednesday, at Messrs Howe Bros., and Choral Society members are offered special concessions on application to the Mardi Gras rooms.
