DESTROYED BY FIRE.
HOUSE AT RUNANGA.
Creymouth, Aug. 23. A five-roomed house and the contents, at Runanga, owned and occupied by Mr. A. Richardson and family was destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. The occupants escaped through a window. There is a small insurance only. BLACKBALL MINERS’ HALL.
Greymouth, Aug. 23. lhe miners’ hall at Blackball, including the library, two billiard tables and furnishings, was destroyed by fare early yesterday morning. Nothing was saved, there being no water supply. The insurance are £3<s on the building and furniture m the Northern office, and £l4O on the billiard tables in tbe State office.
