DAVID AND WINSTON. Portraits of David Lloyd George, who is not very popular among the ‘‘die hards” of tho Liberal party, and Winston Churchill, who went over to the Conservatives, have disappeared from the walls of the National Libera] Club in London. No suggestion of theft has been intimated and the portraits are said to repose now iu the storage cellar of the club. Only oblong blotches on the walls mark the places where they used to hang. . ® ® ® © But few men are brave enough to allow a mind reader to expose their thoughts in the presence of friends. Plans are being made for another attempt to discover rhe mythical “Lost < ‘uni iuent” in the vicinity of the Nin th Pole.
