Waters, chief engineer of the Manawatn-Uroua Power Board, informed that body at its meeting in Palmerston North, when the painting of some steel towers to be erected in the bed of the Manawatu river was under discussion, Some years ago some members of a Northern Scotland family came out to start life afresh in Taranaki. They prospered, and other relatives followed, until there were eight in the district. On Saturday there arrived by the Tainui the remainder of the relatives, some twelve in number, making the total twenty. This is the kind of immigration that makes for success. There is no doubt that the Dominion offers great opportunities for such men and women, who are used to hard work and plain living, and the more who come the better it will be for the Dominion and the .people themselves.
