A wireless received at Melbourne from the steamer Niagara reports the death of Dr. Rygatc, the ship’s doctor. The Prime Minister, the Right Hon. J. G. Coates, left Wellington last night for Dunedin, to attend the closing of the exhibition. Mr. T. A. Attwood, president of the N.Z. Fruit Growers’ Association, left Hastings this morning for Wellington. and ho is expected to return on Tuesday evening next. Messrs. G. Carr and H. Hunt, of Auckland.- who have been on a visit to Hastings, to have a look round the district, left on their return north this morning.
