OBITUARY.
MR. REUBEN PARR. , Hamilton, Dec. 30. Air. Reuben Parr, father of Sir James Parr. Minister of Education, died at Waihou last night after a prot longed illness. Ho <ame to the Waikato in 1565. He first settled in th£ Cambridge district, and subsequently removed to Waihou, where he resided lor nearly halt a century.
