RIFLE SHOOTING.
NORTH ISLAND CIIAAU’IONSHJPS. Wanganui, Dec. 28. The North Island Championships meeting commenced on the Putuki Rille Range here to-day in line weather. The competitors number 101 which is considerably smaller than previous years, owing to rifle matches being held in connection xvith the Dunedin Exhibition. The North Island Championship aggregate xvill l>e fired to-morrow afternoon. A local rifleman is leading so far.
