NORTH AND SOUTH.
GOODWILL IN IRELAND. London, Dec. 27. President W. T- Cosgrave. in a message to the “Sunday Express,” states: “AU goes well with Ireland. The outlook is brighter than since the 1921 treaty. The recent agreement with Northern Ireland has ' finally removed the latest possibilities of further differences. The forces of goodwill have now an opportunity for free play. North and South have no hesitation in saying Ireland stands on the threshold of a new era of material progress.” Sir James Craig (Premier oi Lister) in a Christmas message says: “In contrast to the overcast outlook last year, this Christmas presents new hope, not only to Ulster, but to all Ireland. All should be grateful for delivery by Divine mercy from the agonies of bygone years, and for the birth of a new spirit of good-will.’
