BLUFFED BY REDS.

BRITISH DELEGATES RUSSIA’S DOUBLE GAME. London, Doc. 11. A message from Berlin states that the conference of English and Russion trade union delegates unanimously passed a resolution declaring that Amsterdam decisions against affiliation with Russia, reflected official bias rather than the workers’ desires. The resolution also regretted “unprovoked attacks on Russian trades unionism,” and declared that the Anglo-Russian unions must maintain an attitude of moderation and dignity m the face of the irresponsible attacks. It announced a determi nation to continue the attempts to achieve the unity of trades unionism throughout the world. The conference also decided to summon an international conference to reconsider the exclusion of Russian trades unions. The Russians are delighted at the vigour ol the rebuke the Britishers have administered to the Amsterdam conference. The German newspaper “Vorwaerts” declares that the Britishers allowed themselves to be bluffed into playing the Russians’ double game. Ihe “Daily News” believes tnar British hostility has definitely split international trades unionism,, and it a conference is called it will be a fiasco.

The council of the International Federation of Trades Unions at Amsterdam defeated by 14 Votes to 7 a British proposal to discuss affiliation with the Russian Trades Union Council. 3he British delegates then went to Bering to confer with the Russians.
