FRUIT AND VEGETABLES. Messrs W. Burbidgc and Co., Wellington, report a good market for all now season fruits, especially cherries and peaches. Nelson tomatoes firmer to-day. good demand expected for red and well coloured next week. Apples dull. Current prices are as follows: — Sturmers and Doughterys 5s to Bs, cookers 6s to 8s 6d, Winter Coles and Nelis 9s to’l2s, I’. Barry 6s to 8s ali bushel cases. Peaches Ils to 17s, red currants Ills to 12s, plums, Wrights 6s to 7s 6d, Sharps 8s to 9s 6d, cherry 4s to 5s 6d, bronze 5s to 5s 6d. Gooseberries 5s to 6s all half cases. Strawberries, Auckland, Is 4d to Is 9d, Nelson Is to Is 6d. Nelson tomatoes, coloured lid to Is Id, red Is to Is 2d, firm lOd to 11 Id Nelson cheeries 10s to 14s small box. Peas, Nelson Ils to 14s, local 14s to 18s bag. Cabbage 5s to 6s, cauliflower 10s to 12s, Canadian onions 21s per crate. New laid eggs 2s. New potatoes 16s to 20s per cwt.
