An Arctic Christmas
Heavy Snowfall in Britain SCOTLAND FROZEN HARD. GAME DEVOURING CROPS. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Received 22, 9.10 a.m.) London, Dec. 21. Britain is threatened with an Arctic Christmas. Scotland, the north of England, and the Midlands are covered with from four to eight inches of snow. The frost in Scotland has been the most severe for twenty years, resulting in herds starving. Deer and hares are roving over the crofters’ turnip crops. —(A. and N.Z.)
