rhe good time that everybody has been looking forward to, ‘eonnnenees next Saturday morning, on the Marine laradc, when tbo 1925 Mardi Gras

I-.’, cry day fresh entries are being recorded, and although the names cannot be inserted iu the official programme, an open invitation is extended to everybody to participate. Thc proceedings will commence with the big heads at 11 a.m. sharp on Boxing morning, assembling in front of the Courthouse, Marine Parade. 1 hen will come tho baby parade, followed by the dog parade. Thc parade vill march in trout of the spectators and then the judges will have the various sections placed on the stage, and announce the prize-winners.

The girls’ skipping will then be held at 12 o’clock on the same stage. The merry-go-round, sea lions and side-shows of .every description will be in full swing all day and night. Afore entries arc wanted for tho dark-huired pretty boys, as so far only one name has been recoreded. The fair haired boys and girls and darkhaired girls have responded splendid-

Boxing enthusiasts are advised that entries have been extended until tonight, the Mardi Gras rooms being open until 9.30 for their convenience. Grand entries have come to hand for the longest hair in the crowning glory contest, ladies from Napier. Westshore, Hastings, and Poukawa having nominated. Afore entries are required for the buster, or bobbed hair, section. Late entries can bo made for any event, except the boxing, until thc time of commencing the various competitions. The fireworks display will commence at 9.15 on Boxing Night, so that country visitors will have ample time to see lhe pyrotcchny, and reach home at a reasonable hour. All parades and displays will take place on thc Alarinc Parade only, and day ami night tickets will admit an adun for Is and children 6d. Patrons should pin their tickets to the lapel of their coats, so that they may enter or leave the enclosure as quickly as possible. No ticket is to be given up. The Mardi Gras executive solicits the patronage of all, as without the co-operation of tho people their efforts to make Napier rank as the premier watering-place of the Dominion will be futile.
