Father Miele, who with Papal con. sent in 1919. published a book dea’ing with temporal power and conciliation, contributes to the newspaper ‘‘Tribuna” an important article setting out the terms upon which the Papacy would settle the dispute with the Italian Government. Father Miele suggests the constitution within Rome of a small state, completely subject to the ‘Pope’s rule and declares that negotiations aic proceeding.—(A. and N.Z.)
