THE OTIRA’S CREW. London. Dec. 17. The Shaw-Savill Company has written to Sir Joseph Cook, denying that the captain or agents of the Otira have either a written or verbal promise to provide Australian firemen with a return passage or employment, and repudiates any further responsibility. Sir Joseph Cook may seek the Commonwealth’s authority to repatriate viie men.—(A. and N.Z.)
