TRUTH IN ADVERTISING.
. (To the Editor). Sir,—-Having seen and appreciated “Rewi’s Last Stand,” and, as a New Zealander, wishing our own picture producers all possible success, 1 am very sorry to notice that the advertisement of the film contains a promise which the picture does not fulfil. We are told that there are ‘‘battle scenes in colours.” But, in these days of genuine colour films, that is a very misleading wav of describing the scenes referred to, which are really ordinary monochromes with a few handpainted dots of colour, such as pink shell-bursts. The management would do well to be frank with the public, who are ready enough to support the enterprise and make allowances when necessary. —Yours, etc., civis. Hastings, 10/12/25.
