CANCER SCOURGE.
INCREASE TN N.S.W. (Received 10, 1.15 p.m.) Sydney, Dec. 10. The annual report of the Public Health Department of New South Wales shows that last year cancer occupied the second highest place iu the death list.- and was nine per cent, above the average of the previous five years. In 20 years ended 1924, the death rate from cancer increased 40 per cent., while the tuberculosis rate decreased 35 per cent.
