A car driven by Michael Tcahan, farmer, of Tiratu. Dannevirke. containing a load of passengers, capsized in Woodville yesterday morning and rolled over several times. The driver and William Gillespie were badly hurt, hut the extent of their injuries is not known. They were sent to the Dannevirke Hospital. The others were severely shaken. Apparently the driver lost control after overtaking another car and swerved and skidded. The <ar was badly knocked about. 'l he inquest was concluded yesterday at Dunedin into +Jie circumstances of the death of Robert Munro, who was injured in the Mikiwaka tunnel, being run over bv a train on November 28. Deceased had lain in the tunnel for a number of hours with a badly crushed leg. and on removal to hospital expired shortly after admission. The evidence showed that deceased purchased a ticket for Upper Port Chalmers, hut missed the train and had proceeded to walk home along the railwav line. A verdict was returned that deceased’s death was due to shock and injuries received through being run over by a train.
