BAIL NOT GRANTED.
“UNDER 21 NO NOVELTY.” Hamilton, Dec. 9. “T don’t grant bail in cases of breaking and entering and theft unless there are very special circumstances,” stated Mr. Wyvern Wilson. S.M., when an application was made to-day on behalf of Frederick Edward Hoewood. aged 19 years, charged with breaking and entering and stealing £5O from the Farmers’ Auctioneering Warehouse in Hamilton. His Worship said he could see no special circumstances in the case. The fact that the accused was under 21 was no novelty, as a great number of people coming before the Court for breaking and entering were comparatively young. “I look upon this class of offence as a very bad form of lawlessness.” The accused was remanded till Monday.
