FIRES.
BOARDINGHOUSE DESTROYED. Dunedin, Dee. 8. A fire at 2 o’clock yesterday morning completely destroyed a 16-roomed boardinghouse at Kaka Point, a seaside resort 14 miles from Balciutha. The proprietor, J. C. Shore. -«vas the only Inmate at the time and had barely nine to escape from the burning building. The building was a wooden owe and as no water was available to tight the outbreak it was quickly demolished. The insurance on the building was £550 in the Norwich Union. The contents, valued at £250, were uninsured. The building was valued at fl 206.
