THE PICTURE HOUSES.

MUNICIPAL. “New Toys,’’ to be screened at the Hastings Municipal Theatre to-night, has a very definite interest for real picture fans, for this is the first picture in which Richard Barthehness figures in protagonistic parts with his wife, Mary Hay. “New Toys” is a picturisation by John S. Robertson from the stag© play of the same title. There is much humour to relieve the serious parts of the drama. A comedy and an International News film complete the programme. COSY DE LUXE. Thrills abound m “Thundering Hoofs,” to be shown at the Cosy Theatre, Hastings, to-night. Fred Thomson, the world-famous athlete, and his not less famous horse, Silver King, do daring feats that have to be seen to be believed. Alone Thomson tackles a Spanish bull, maddened by many wounds received in the arena, and with bare bands throws it and reduces it to helplessness. A delightful romance is drawn upon as a cause of and a connecting link for the exciting incidents. The supports include a bright comedy and the latest news Gazettes.
