HASTINGS JERSEY BREEDERS' CLUB.

AN'XI AL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Hastings Jersey Breeders’ Chib was held in the Chamber of Commerce rooms, Hastings, on Saturday afternoon. Mr AV”. W. Smart, chairman, presiding over a good attendance of members. The annual balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of £l2 9s 2d 4 was adnnted. The chairman, in presenting the Bal-lance-sheet. said that though was a slight falling c. ff of membership in comparison with other years, the club was still in a very satisfactory position. The oluh. during its brief ex:stonce of two years, had done ronsidernble good in encouraging the breeding of an improved f loss of dairy cow in the Hastings district. Tho club had donated £6 in prices for Jersey catfln <n the Hawke’s Bav Agricultural and Pastoral Society last year and had l oon entries in tho rlass which was considered verv satisfactorv. Tile work of tho oluh had very successful in the main, up to the present, nnd oven more success was anticipated for the future. It was decided that same prizes should l-o offered at the next Hawke’s B»v Sprng Show as last year with the exception of the junior judging competition. which would bo deleted, leaving the following prizes Yearling Jersey Heifer.
