THE RUBBER BOOM.
AMERICANS SEEK INTERVENTION (Received 20, 10.55 a.m.) Washington, July 18. Representatives of the American Rubber Association waited on Mr. Kellogg (Secretary of State), asking him to intervene with the British Government to end London’s monopoly and the rapid increase in rubber prices. Mr. Kellogg held out little hope of being able to do anything.—(A. and N.Z.)
