Entries in the poultry and dairy stock sections were full, but pig entries were below the usual. Good prices were realised on all lines sold, and the attendance throughout was large. Prices realised were as follows:— Poultry.—Turkey gobblers at £1 pair, turkey hens at 16s pair, turkey chicks 7s pair, ducks at Us pair, 8.0. pullets 14s pair, White Leghorn pullets £1 2pair, fat hens 6s to 7s pair, 8.0. roosters 12s pair. Pigs sold as follows:—Tammy weaners 13s to 15s each, light weaners 9s to Ils each, porkers at 35s each. Dairy stock.—Two Jersey cow heifers at £7 7s 6d and £7 10s each, 1 cross cow £4 10s, 2 Holstein heifers at £5 15s each. Alessrs Beard. Bullen and Co. report having had a big attendance and a very successful market sale on Saturday. AVith the exception of dairy stock the entries were exceptionally good and prices for pigs showed a decided rise. Of the 420 head of poultry penned everything sold well. Good dairy cows on drop or just in are in constant demand and anyone with this class of stock is adviseil to forward entries early for advertising.
