Sir, —Having recently visited your town and hearing that there is likely to be some move in starting a District Nursing Association, may I, in a few words express the usefulness of such work. In Christchurch, where lam working, it has been a boon to the sick poor of the city, especially to those who through old age lie on bods of sicknosH. I could tell of many distressing cases in which the district nurses have been tho means of bringing comfort and relief.
