THE SHANNON BANKRUPTCY.

APPLICATION FOR DISCHARGE. Wellington, May 4. The bankruptcy of George Vance Shannon was again before the Supreme Court to-day. when application was made to Sir Robert Stout for discharge It will be remembered that the only proved creditor was Matteo Sarcichc. who secured a verdict from Shannon of £l5OO damages in divorce proceedings. Mr Macassey. for Sarciche, opposed the discharge unless some reasonable of fer of a settlement were made. There was a prospect of Shannon coming into money, which Sarciche would have no opportunity of getting. Sir Robert Stout allowed an adjournment, although he did not know whether an extension would be of any assistance to the creditor.
