ALL SAINTS', TARADALE.

SALE OF WORK. A successful sale of jvork was held in the vicarage grounds and the parish hail by parishioners of All Saints’ Church, Taradale, last Saturday after* noon and evening. In opening the sale .Mrs H. R. ( lark congratulated all concerned on the display of goods in the stalls, and trusted that their efforts would be attended with satisfactory financial result. Thioughout the sale the stallholders were kept busy meeting tho needs of the people. During the afternoon orchestral selections by Miss J. Swa.nseger (piano), Miss 1). Bumble (violin) and Mr. Riceborough (flute) created a bright atmosphere. Again in tho evening these instrumentalists contributed in a substantial degree to the enjoyment of those present and in addition acceptable vocal items were rendered by Miss I. Langley, and Mr. Hyde. Competitions of the usual variety drew numerous entries and proved am amusing diversion. Those in charge of the stalls, all of whom reported splendid results, were as follow:—.Tumble. Mrs Bishop; produce. Mesdames Butcher, Neilsen and Hurd; fancy work. Mesdames Jim Jarvis, Clayton and Holmes; cakes, Mesdames Langley and Thayer: sweets. Misses Dunnage: flowers. Miss I. Langley: ice cream. Master J. Butcher; tea rooms Mesdames Ellis, Horsfield. Robinson, Burr, Bradley, S. Harris and Kiddson, Misses Haynes, Kraig, Bennett. Moore and D. Burr.
