ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A man named Frederick Rogers had been missing from Messrs Cox and Gunning’s Waterfalls station. Eketahuna. for nearly a fortnight, and the police at Eketahuna and Pongaroa orgnised search parties, which were unsuccessful , but they found boots and some clothing on the banks of a creek. This morning advice was received that the body had been found in a creek two miles from where the articles were found. Tho only known relative is a sister at Hawera, formerly of Hastings. When cleaning a sportinc* gun last evening at Mangapai. Whangarei, David Miller, aged 34. was fatally shot in the abdomen by the accidental explosion of a cartridge, of th© presence of which in the firearm Miller was unaware. I
